India may delay switch to bill and keep system

(Telecompaper) Indian regulator Trai has indicated it may delay the start of ‘bill and keep’ in the country from the planned date of 01 January 2020. In a public consultation, Trai said there was still an imbalance in on- and off-net traffic that may mean interconnection charges are justified. 

Telia to re-assess position in Latvia after cooperation with govt stalls

(Telecompaper) The government of Latvia has informed Telia Company that it no longer intends to implement the memorandum of understanding on improving cooperation as shareholders in the mobile operator LMT and the fixed operator Tet. Telia Company said it will now reconsider its approach to investments in Latvia.

US grants Apple tariffs exemption on components from China

(Telecompaper) The US government has given Apple a reprieve from tariffs on 10 items, including a power supply and a logic board, that are imported from China. The Office of the US Trade Representative granted Apple exemptions on its Magic Mouse 2, Magic Trackpad 2 and various internal components, the Wall Street Journal reports.
