Huawei previews EMUI10, to launch in September on P30

(Telecompaper) Huawei has unveiled the latest upgrade of its smartphone user interface, expected to feature on upcoming Android Q  devices. Owners of the current P30 flagship series will be the first to try EMUI10, available in beta from 08 September. New features include a ‘dark mode’ for easier reading and lower battery consumption and increased support for interoperability with other devices. 

US delays 10% tariff on Chinese imports of mobile phones, laptops to December

(Telecompaper) The US has delayed imposing an extra 10 percent import tariff on mobile phones, laptops and other consumer goods until 15 December. The new rate against Chinese imports had been planned to take effect on 01 September. The delay gives the country more time to negotiate a new trade deal with China. 

OnePlus unveils logo, name for own smart TV

(Telecompaper) OnePlus has confirmed it’s still planning to launch its own TV. After launching a naming contest nearly a year ago, the company said it will be called the OnePlus TV and unveiled a new logo for the device. 

Snap releases new Spectacles with 3D imaging

(Telecompaper) Snap has unveiled a new model of its Spectacles, adding new cameras to create and view 3D images. The Spectacles 3 are available to pre-order online and will launch this fall, the company said. 

Huawei plans expansion in services, announces new developer labs

In a statement following its Developer Conference in Dongguan, China, Huawei said its Mobile Services have over 100 million users outside China and it supports more than 910,000 developers worldwide.
